When buyers come to look at your home, you’ll find that some are very curious. You could, for instance, have a prospect opening and closing all your windows. What they’re doing is checking for problems, which they’d have to pay to have fixed. Thus, it pays to ensure your windows are in good working order. During a home showing, you need to keep your contact with buyers at a minimum. Obviously if it is just them and you, minus the realtor, you will need to conduct the showing. Try to be friendly without going overboard. Don’t engage in any negotiation without your realtor unless, of course, you’re selling your home without a realtor. Your realtor is the best person who can negotiate and get you the best price for your home. If a buyer is insistent on talking price with you, be polite and let them know you’ll have to refer their questions to your realtor.
